This year Andalusia and Extremadura join this initiative, which was started last year by Aragon, Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia.
02/07/24 – The ‘Good to the Stone’ campaign, which promotes stone fruit consumption, is growing by 2024. This initiative, which last year was started by Cooperativas Agro-Alimentarias de España and the regional federations of Aragón, Cataluña, Comunidad Valenciana and Región de Murcia, this year adds Andalucía and Extremadura.
A campaign that has been presented today February 7 at Fruit Logistica 2024, the leading global fruit and vegetable trade fair being held this week in Berlin, with the assistance of representatives of the various agri-food federations. A very suitable space, since of the nearly 1,700,000 tons of stone fruit produced annually in Spain, almost half is destined for export.
“It has been a great opportunity to move this action beyond our borders, and in a fair as important as this one, giving greater visibility to a campaign of which we are very proud, especially after the success of its first edition,” say those responsible.
April to September
The campaign will begin in April and last until September, where once again seasonal fruits (peach, nectarine, apricot, plum and cherry) will be the protagonists. The main objective of this proposal, which combines flavor, health and entertainment, is to promote its consumption and disseminate its benefits as a source of vitamins and health.
They will be back through their different social networks with more audiovisual and graphic content on, Instagram, Facebook, X, Tik Tok and YouTube. It also has its own website (www.buenashastaelhueso.es), where all consumers can find more detailed information on each of the fruits, their characteristics, health contents, recipes and cooperativism.
The initial edition – developed during the 2023 production campaign – garnered a total of seven and a half million video views, reaching more than nine million accounts. This year the campaign is loaded with new features and goes a step further: new content and more sweepstakes, highlighting not only the benefits of fruit consumption, but also the role played by farmers and cooperatives. “We offer a product of proximity, healthy and safe, produced in a sustainable way, and that supports the economy of the rural world,” they emphasize.
