Peach

The peach is a round, colored and juicy fruit, whose harvesting season and best time of consumption in Spain is between May and September, although there are early and late varieties that are harvested in April and October, respectively.

It is an exceptional fruit in improving transit and protects against colon cancer and cardiovascular diseases. It provides small amounts of vitamin C and provitamin A, such as alpha-carotene, beta-carotene and cryptoxanthin. It also contains minerals, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin B.

Paraguayan

Flattened fruit, rich in fiber, potassium, water-soluble vitamins and carotenes. The Paraguayan season takes place between May and September, although some early and late varieties are harvested in April and October, respectively.

The Paraguayan is a very sweet fruit with a smooth and velvety skin. This fruit is rich in vitamin A, essential for vision, good skin, hair, mucous membranes, bones and for the proper functioning of the immune system and has antioxidant action. It also contains potassium, a mineral necessary for the proper functioning of muscle activity. Contributes to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol due to the phenolytic compounds in its skin and pulp.

Nectarine

The nectarine is a round fruit, with juicy flesh, with stone, similar to the peach and can be consumed unpeeled or peeled. The nectarine harvesting season lasts from May to the end of August.

It has a high content of vitamins E and C and pro-vitamin A, contributing to the degradation of cholesterol and therefore helps to reduce the level in the blood. One of the benefits of nectarine is its ability to improve the nervous and muscular system and help in cases of iron deficiency anemia. It also helps regulate hypertension.

Apricot

The apricot is mainly consumed as fresh fruit, although it is also used to make some derivatives such as compotes or juices. Apricots are harvested mainly between May and August. 

It is rich in fiber and water and low in carbohydrates and also contains iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium and vitamin B3, as well as tannins, elements with astringent, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that, among other actions, promote digestion.

Cherry

The cherry is a fruit that can be consumed fresh or used in the preparation of cakes, mousses, jams and compotes.

The cherry is a fruit with important qualities, such as its content in vitamins K, A and C, as well as iron, calcium and phosphorus. It has a low fat content and no cholesterol. The cherry season in Spain runs from April to August.

Plum

The plum is a stone fruit, round or elongated, that can be yellow, green, red or purple in color.

It is very nutritious and rich in vitamins, and contains vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B3, E and K; and minerals such as phosphorus, iron, sodium, magnesium, calcium, copper, boron and zinc. In addition, they help fight anemia, are rich in fiber and have a large amount of water. In Spain, plums are in season from July to September, although some varieties can be harvested as early as May.
